Epicor describes CPQ for complex, custom products: configuration in 2D, 3D or augmented reality for sales reps, distributors and web visitors, a no-code visual rules language, automatically generated CAD files, bills of materials and production documents, and integrations with Salesforce, Teamcenter and Magento through native connectors and REST APIs. Building supply is among the industries Epicor lists. Those are strong reasons to shortlist it when buyers need to see the product or engineering needs a model for every order.

When a price-book workflow is the real need
Many building-product quotes are schedules: forty openings, twenty louvers, a hundred air devices, each priced from a published book. The time goes into re-keying the schedule, checking rules and finding prices, not into drawing the product. ReadyVariant imports the schedule from CSV, Excel or PDF, prices every line from your confirmed price book, and issues a quote the customer accepts online.
What you would give up
ReadyVariant does not render 3D models, generate CAD or bills of materials, or connect to an ERP, CRM or PLM system. Its public demos show options, reasons and prices only. If a quote must produce drawings or a BOM, keep a visual CPQ with CAD automation on the shortlist and test that path with a real order.
