Openings, not line items
Each line is an opening: a mark, a size, a hand, a fire label, and single or pair. The door and the frame come from their own catalogs, share those inputs, and keep their own prices. A pair prices two leaves. Alternates add or deduct from the base bid.
Your price books, as published
Size grids with a blank corner, series stacked or side by side, adders per square foot or per linear foot, percentages such as A60 galvannealed, and footnotes about oversize doors and minimum charges. Every price keeps the cell it came from.
Conflicts caught before the quote
Rule sheets and confirmed footnotes stop a 90-minute door with an oversized lite, a knock-down frame on a 3-hour opening, or a door beyond the size limit, and each comes with the reason and a suggested change. Anything that needs engineering is marked for review rather than priced.
From schedule to issued quote
Import the contractor’s schedule, translate its door and frame codes once, resolve exceptions in groups, and issue a quote with your logo, clarifications, exclusions and an acceptance block. A revised schedule re-imports mark by mark, and edits you made are protected.
What it does not do yet
ReadyVariant does not produce shop drawings or CAD, certify labels, price finish hardware, apply customer-specific price books, or email the quote. Each workspace has one owner. It is in customer preview; start with one door series and one frame series.
