Your spreadsheets already hold valuable product knowledge. Start by making valid choices and prices easier to use, without asking your sales team to interpret every row.
Prepare a simple combinations table
For a straightforward product family, use one row per valid combination. Give each option its own column, such as model, width, and finish. Include a final unit-price column when you want the configurator to price the selection.
Map columns, then check the import
Upload CSV or XLSX files and confirm which columns describe inputs and prices. Review any reported sheet, row, or column issues. Leave unrelated worksheets out of the setup rather than mixing them into your product data.
Know what happens to Excel formulas
ReadyVariant reads saved values from Excel workbooks. It does not execute workbook formulas, macros, or external links. Recalculate and save your workbook in Excel before uploading, and include the final prices you want the configurator to use.
Verify before publishing
Use a configuration with a known result to check the imported options, manufacturing details where supported, and price. Resolve differences in the draft before publishing. When data changes, prepare and verify a new revision.
