The columns
MARK, QTY, WIDTH, HEIGHT, LEAVES, HAND, LABEL, then DOOR TYPE, MATL and GA and FRAME TYPE, MATL and GA under DOOR and FRAME group headings, as architects print them, followed by JAMB DEPTH, HW SET, LOCATION and REMARKS.
Values that are easy to get wrong
Hand and label have dropdowns: LH, RH, LHR or RHR, and NR, 20 MIN through 3 HR. The hand is read standing on the outside of the door; the door handing chart shows all four. Sizes can be written 3'-0" or 36; keep to one style in a schedule.
Pairs and repeated openings
Write Pair under LEAVES and give the overall width, such as 6'-0". Use QTY for identical openings instead of repeating rows, and keep REMARKS for what an estimator must read, such as an astragal or a lite.

Common questions
What is a door schedule?
A table on the architectural drawings, usually for Division 08, that lists every door opening by mark with its size, hand, fire rating, door and frame types, materials and hardware set.
What do LH, RH, LHR and RHR mean?
The door’s hand, seen from the outside: hinges on the left or right, and whether the door swings away from you (LH, RH) or toward you (LHR, RHR).
How do I write a pair of doors?
Give the overall width of the pair, such as 6'-0", mark LEAVES as Pair, and note the active leaf’s hand as the hardware specification calls for.
